how we choose our breeders
We breed only the highest quality golden adults (Health tested, great temperaments and breed standard) to “stack the deck” for healthy, smart, pups with outstanding personalities.
- All breeding dogs are physically and emotionally mature.
- All breeding dogs have good/normal clearances on hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and ichthyosis. Most dogs have Genetic testing also. (DNA, PRCD, PRA 1 & 2, MD, DM)
- All breeding dogs must be breed standard. (European or American)
- All breeding dogs must be stable emotionally and physically healthy.
- All breeding dogs are temperament tested and have strong aptitudes for service, and therapy, personalities and physical strengths are noted. This helps us make choices on breeding pairs.
- All breeding dogs must have genetically diverse, strong health and clearance histories.
- All breeding dogs must be from a combination of show, hunting, and service bloodlines. This combination promotes a physically strong, mentally stable, thinking, working dog, who wants to please.
